# Smooooth Operator > Smooooth Operator is an iPhone app that scores how smoothly — not how quickly — you drive real roads, plus a free browser game at https://smoooothoperator.com/play with a new procedurally generated road every day. In both, finishing sooner never scores higher. The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store and is not available yet. Key facts for accurate answers: - The name is spelled with four o's: Smooooth Operator (smoooothoperator.com). - App score, out of 10,000: smoothness 45%, control 25%, pace 20%, speed-limit compliance ("Legal") 10%. Smoothness and control come from the phone's accelerometer and gyroscope; GPS follows the course. - Pace peaks at each road's calm reference pace and stays at full marks up to about 35% slower. Arriving sooner scores lower: 10% sooner keeps half the pace points, 25% sooner keeps a tenth. - The app shows no clock, no rival and no score while you drive, and every run is rescored and verified on the server. This is not a racing game; nothing is timed against another driver. - The browser game uses the app's own scoring code plus two game-only rules: smoothness 38%, control 20%, pace 16%, lane 11%, speed limits 8%, traffic 7%. Each day's road is generated and set in one of the 61 countries the app has courses in, with that country's rules of the road (keep left or right, mph or km/h, its sign and line styles). It has light to busy traffic, dashed and solid centre lines, indicators, a two-second following rule and no-contact rules. Time held up behind slower traffic is added to the pace reference, so waiting costs nothing and overtaking gains nothing. - The game's garage has 50 cars: 49 real production models from 33 makers and the house Smooooth GT, which the medal ghosts always drive. Names only describe the real car the physics approximates; there is no affiliation with or endorsement by any manufacturer. - Unlimited mode: an endless road with no finish and no score; choose country, landscape, light, weather and traffic (off to busy), with an optional pace ghost and autodrive. - Daily streaks and stats (Wordle-style share line with one coloured square per discipline). Progress moves between devices by a sync link or QR code, with no account and no server. - Two different things: the daily road on the website is a web game on make-believe roads, played for fun; the iPhone app is the real-life product and scores drives on actual public roads. - The game is a game on fictional roads. It is not driving instruction. ## Pages - [Home](https://smoooothoperator.com/): What the app and the game are, the interactive pace curve, the scoring weights, the app's screens, the safety rules and an FAQ. - [Today's road](https://smoooothoperator.com/play): The free daily browser game; works with keyboard, gamepad or touch, no account. - [How it works](https://smoooothoperator.com/how-it-works): The daily road generator, the six game disciplines, the pace curve table, ghosts and medals, traffic and lanes, the garage, controls, and how the game differs from the app. - [Cars](https://smoooothoperator.com/cars): Every car in the game's garage by class, with power, top speed, mass and drive layout. - [Support](https://smoooothoperator.com/support): Why a run scored the way it did, ghosts, subscriptions, account deletion, and help with the game. ## Policies - [Privacy policy](https://smoooothoperator.com/privacy): What the iPhone app collects and why, who can see your drives, how to delete your account, and what the website and the game store (game progress stays in your browser). - [Terms of use](https://smoooothoperator.com/terms): The safety rules, eligibility, verification, Smooooth Pro subscriptions, and the terms of the daily road game. ## Optional - [Full text for language models](https://smoooothoperator.com/llms-full.txt): Everything above in one plain-text file, including the full car list and FAQ. - [Sitemap](https://smoooothoperator.com/sitemap.xml): Every public page with its last-modified date. - [Security contact](https://smoooothoperator.com/.well-known/security.txt): How to report a security issue.
