The safety rules come first
Smooooth Operator is not a racing game and it does not reward speed for its own sake. The score is 35% pace, 35% smoothness, 20% control and 10% legal compliance. Driving faster than the law allows lowers your score. Driving aggressively lowers your score.
By using the app you agree that you will:
- never interact with the app while the vehicle is moving;
- mount your phone before starting a run;
- obey every traffic law, speed limit and signal;
- not speed or drive aggressively to improve a score;
- stop a run at any time if conditions require it.
You are responsible for your driving. Always. Nothing in this app is an instruction to drive in any particular way, and a score is never a reason to break a law or take a risk.
Eligibility
You must hold a valid driving licence and be legally permitted to drive the vehicle you use. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
Scores and verification
Every run is scored on our servers, not on your phone, and the server's score is the one that counts. Runs that cannot be verified — implausible physics, a manipulated clock, a simulated location, leaving the course — are kept and shown to you but are not ranked.
A run that crosses the start line already at speed is also not ranked. It is not cheating and it is not treated as cheating; it simply cannot be compared fairly against someone who started from the line.
We may remove a score from a leaderboard if it was obtained by manipulating the app, the device, or its sensors.
Subscriptions
Smooooth Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings — we cannot cancel it for you, and we never see your payment details.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms.
Your content
Courses you create and runs you record remain yours. You give us permission to store them, to score them, and to show the parts other drivers are allowed to see — your username, scores and, if you allow it, your ghost.
Acceptable use
Do not create courses on private property you have no right to use, on closed roads, or anywhere a timed run would be dangerous. Do not attempt to falsify runs, scrape the service, or interfere with other drivers' accounts.
Availability
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. Where the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.
